Itulah pertanyaan yang terlontar oleh teman saya beberapa waktu lalu. Lantas saya menjawab, "Asiknya itu adalah ketika melihat pertumbuhannya dari kecil hingga besar, ketika kita berhasil memeliharanya dari kecil hingga besar" :-D

Ia heran kenapa saya begitu menyukai kura-kura dan memeliharanya. Dia bilang, "apa menariknya? ajak mainnya gimana? kan jalannya lambat, lu cuma liatin aja gitu?" haha ini nanya apa ngejek :p

Tidak pernah terpikirkan oleh saya sebelumnya pertanyaan tersebut, apa ya asik nya pelihara kura-kura? hehe

Following the discussion on reptile forum some enthusiast said that a hybrid between RES and black marsh turtle is impossible. A requirements for a hybrid is on the same family at least.

So, the case is almost done. If a hybrid is impossible, the egg by Anna's RES is something like empty fertilization.

Identified! Siebenrockiella crassicollis

The investigation for identifying this kind of turtle began by the possibility of hybrid or cross breed between this turtle and RES (Red Ear Slider). Both of the pet are belongs to my friend, Anna. She told me the turtle ever nesting several times but failed to hatch. The question is both of this turtle are different in species. One of the turtles identified as RES but the another one is unknown. Then after discussion in a reptile forum [at] kaskus, they suggest me to upload the picture of the mysterious turtle to identify. So we can conclude if there is a cross bred or not.
